Haiti Relief Campaign – American Red Cross

Role: Graphic Designer

In response to the humanitarian crisis in Haiti, I was tasked with creating graphic assets to support the relief efforts. This piece was designed as part of the campaign to encourage donations via text message, helping mobilize aid quickly during a critical time.

Design Approach

The visual composition conveys urgency, unity, and resilience. The interwoven red and white forms symbolize the global effort to support Haiti, converging at the center to highlight the American Red Cross emblem. The dynamic motion of the elements reinforces the immediacy of action needed.

Main Poster

The typography is bold and direct, ensuring clarity in the call to action. Red, often associated with emergency response, was used to emphasize the donation number, while the dark background provides stark contrast, making the message unmissable.

Impact

This graphic was part of a broader visual campaign that played a role in driving awareness and engagement. By simplifying the donation process and creating a strong visual connection to the cause, the design helped contribute to the overall effectiveness of the relief messaging.

This project was a meaningful experience, reinforcing the power of design in mobilizing communities for urgent humanitarian efforts.
