Managing Producer Days Dashboard

Research & Inspiration

As the UX/UI designer for this project, my goal was to create a dashboard that provides a seamless and intuitive way for managing producers to track and allocate their workdays effectively. The design needed to balance clarity, usability, and a clean visual hierarchy to ensure efficiency in managing schedules and team coordination.

Concept Development

I focused on structuring the interface in a way that prioritizes essential information while maintaining an uncluttered look. Wireframes and prototypes helped explore different layouts that optimize workflow, ensuring users can quickly access and interpret their schedules without unnecessary distractions.

User Experience & Interaction Design

The dashboard was designed with a user-first approach, ensuring that interactions were smooth and intuitive. A clear, grid-based layout with well-defined sections allows users to scan and manage their time efficiently. Interactive elements, such as hover states and color-coded status indicators, enhance usability while keeping the interface visually engaging.

Visual Design & Typography

A clean, modern aesthetic was chosen to align with Muon Studios' brand identity. The color palette was carefully selected to provide a balance between visual appeal and functional clarity. Typography was optimized for readability, with distinct weights and sizes guiding the user’s eye naturally through the interface.

Technology & Implementation

This dashboard was designed to be built using a combination of FileMaker Claris and web technologies. The hybrid approach ensures flexibility, allowing for the robust database management capabilities of FileMaker while leveraging modern web-based UI elements for a smooth, responsive user experience.

Iteration & Testing

Multiple iterations were conducted based on user feedback to refine the usability and overall flow of the dashboard. Adjustments were made to spacing, contrast, and interactive elements to enhance clarity and reduce cognitive load.

Final Implementation

Once finalized, the UI was prepared for development with detailed design specifications, ensuring a smooth handoff to the engineering team. The result is a functional, visually polished dashboard that enhances productivity and provides managing producers with a seamless experience in tracking and optimizing their workdays.
